![]() I also recommend that you use Firefox or Mozilla instead of Internet Explorer there are far too many exploits that auto-download viruses and whatnot into your computer using IE's poorly coded crap.Īnother GREAT tool is going to the command prompt, and typing in netstat -n. ![]() All's I really had to do was DL the patch, and run the AV, and it was gone just as fast as it came. I had never gotten a re-occurring virus before, and I reformatted about 10 times wondering why it kept coming back. It is also a very good idea to get the new Windows patches. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore is where it is located. It's one of the best features of XP, and many other operating systems (can't name all of them now), but if you have a virus, or something isn't working, it is definitely worth a try. So instead of doing a whole system scan, and re-installing the whole program, you can just system restore it in about two minutes. Some days I may even find that my AV or FW is disabled for no reason at all. System restore is your friend! I have used it to get rid of countless annoying things.
